The Job:
Project Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering cutting-edge BESS solutions, working across the full project lifecycle. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to projects ranging from 10MW to 100MW, helping to drive the UK’s transition to net-zero energy.
What You’ll Do:
- Design & Engineering: Support the design and technical specifications of BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Project Coordination: Facilitate design reviews, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and maintain project documentation.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve technical documentation, conduct risk assessments, and propose solutions for electrical systems.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards while implementing quality control measures.
- Site Support: Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning, ensuring project specifications are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (LV/HV) and battery technology.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with UK electrical standards and regulations (BS 7671, 18th Edition).
- Experience with grid-connected systems and knowledge of grid services like Frequency Response and Energy Arbitrage.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors and consultants, with excellent communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems and at least 2 years’ experience in the energy or renewable sector.

Working for Sisko Group seconded to a large Utility contractor you will be carrying out surveys & external meter installations to domestic properties in and around a defined region. The role will be field based, and you will be visiting several properties throughout the day to install external “screw in” meters, conduct surveys and report them accordingly. Experience Required
No experience is necessary as all training will be provided, however some previous experience in roles that involve working outside or generally in and around site work, construction, plumbing, or any other trade would be advantageous. As the daily jobs will be captured via tablet/phone/software ability to use these devices will be required.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM – 5PM , Plus Weekend Rota 1 in 3 Saturdays

The Position
- You will attend an induction & training period prior to working live on the contract
- Once live you will be required to exchange a range of water meters (both internal and external) being allocated a minimum 10 appointments per day
- You will be expected to carry out plumbing surveys alongside carrying out meter exchanges.
- Have the ability to request additional jobs
- Working hours 8AM-5PM Monday to Friday
- Provide excellent customer service
Could this role be for you?
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a qualified plumber
- City & Guilds Qualification in Plumbing or Similar
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible designing roof mounted solar panels and associated systems in mainly commercial settings. (This will include battery systems) This role involves overseeing all aspects of renewable energy projects, from design and site assessment to installation and documentation. You will work closely with the team to ensure projects are delivered flawlessly, meeting all technical and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate will be educated to HND/HND level in Electrical Engineering or similar with the ability to work to construction guidelines and CHAS. You will be required to occasionally travel UK wide to clients.
The Role
- Analysing data from clients
- Draw up tailored solar designs, ensuring everything is up to standards and working efficiently
- Liaise with clients, the procurement team and contractors, attend sites to carry out inspections
Qualifications
- Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent discipline)
- Proficient in software systems (e.g. Pylon, MS Office and Commusoft)
- 3 years Solar design experience (desirable)
