The Job:

Project Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering cutting-edge BESS solutions, working across the full project lifecycle. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to projects ranging from 10MW to 100MW, helping to drive the UK’s transition to net-zero energy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design & Engineering: Support the design and technical specifications of BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Facilitate design reviews, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and maintain project documentation.
  • Technical Oversight: Review and approve technical documentation, conduct risk assessments, and propose solutions for electrical systems.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards while implementing quality control measures.
  • Site Support: Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning, ensuring project specifications are met.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (LV/HV) and battery technology.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with UK electrical standards and regulations (BS 7671, 18th Edition).
  • Experience with grid-connected systems and knowledge of grid services like Frequency Response and Energy Arbitrage.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors and consultants, with excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems and at least 2 years’ experience in the energy or renewable sector.

    • Experience in asset management, investment planning, or the water and wastewater infrastructure industries.
    • Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, and ICA) is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in modelling techniques and their technical applications.
    • Ability to assess diverse information sources, navigate uncertainty, and recommend optimal courses of action.
    • A high level of initiative and self-motivation.

    This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach.

    My client is looking for fully qualified Gas Engineers for an immediate start.

    They work in and around Ruislip, Uxbridge, Northwood, Harefield, Ickenham, Hayes, High Wycombe, The Chalfonts, Gerrards Cross, Watford, Harrow and surrounding areas within people’s homes and small businesses.

    Role

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience
    • Boiler Installation, servicing, and breakdowns experience
    • Legionella testing (training will be given if required) – Minor part of the role
    • Some general plumbing work

    Requirements

    • Gas Safe registered essential
    • Level 2 (NVQ) Diploma in Installing and Maintaining Domestic Heating Systems.
    • Level 2/3 (NVQ) Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating

    Job Description

    Working for Sisko Group seconded to a large Utility contractor you will be carrying out surveys & external meter installations to domestic properties in and around a defined region. The role will be field based, and you will be visiting several properties throughout the day to install external “screw in” meters, conduct surveys and report them accordingly. This is a long-term position offering lots of opportunity to earn and learn new skills.

    Experience Required

    No experience is necessary as all training will be provided, however some previous experience in roles that involve working outside or generally in and around  site work, construction, plumbing, or any other trade would be advantageous. As the daily jobs will be captured via tablet/phone/software ability to use these devices will be required.


    Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM – 5PM , Plus Weekend Rota 1 in 3 Saturdays

    Van & Equipment Provided

    Must have a full UK driving licence
